    Geni Whitehouse

    Geni Whitehouse, CPA.CITP, CSPM is the Countess of Communication at Brotemarkle, Davis and Company, where she helps make accounting and business concepts understandable. She is a contributing columnist for for and a frequent speaker at events around the country. She is a former software company executive and software industry analyst and a two-time graduate of the Jeff Justice Comedy Workshoppe. As a CPA, she is passionate about finding interesting ways to explain accounting concepts and has discovered an endless supply of formerly boring material. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. She is the author of How to Make a Boring Subject Interesting: 52 ways even a nerd can be heard, which offers presentation help to her fellow nerds.

    Kathryn Maxson-Landis

    Katye Maxson-Landis, CPA is the founder of Moxy Accounting in Portland, OR. A champion of fiscal literacy and best practices for the cannabis industry, Katye has been practicing as a CPA for nine years, bringing over twenty years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative solutions for small businesses with a variety of structures. Katye has participated in numerous conferences, podcasts, webinars, and fireside chats for accounting societies and industry interest groups. Katye is a contributing member of the AICPA’s Cannabis Advisory Board, leads an 8-week Cannabis tax program, The Moxy Cohort, qualifying as a NASBA CPE sponsor in her own right. Katye is smart, irreverent, curious, filled with pragmatic sass and professionally skeptical of just about everything. She is a problem solver, unafraid of a challenge, and is hated by her therapist’s Pomeranian. She is a mother of two vibrant and often opinionated little girls while somehow remaining married for 22 years.
