Surviving means “to continue to live or exist” while Thriving means “to grow or develop well, to prosper or to flourish.”
Ask yourself, "Am I thriving or just moving along surviving?" Be truthful with yourself, you don't have to share your answers with anyone else.
Then ask, how can I move from survive mode to thrive mode?

Real world experience
Leveraging more than 18 years of leadership experience across a variety of industries and roles, Steve knows firsthand why some leaders succeed while others fail, what enables some managers to bring out the best in their people while others cannot, and what makes some organizations thrive while others struggle to deliver.
For seven years, Steve led a global program at Hewlett Packard that specialized in leadership development and performance improvement programs. He led a department of up to 42 direct and indirect reports, and his teams successfully delivered more than 250 programs that improved employee engagement, capabilities, and performance across the organization. Steve’s expertise and commitment to delivering real-world results positioned him as a trusted advisor to senior executives and managers across the organization, and a thought leader at HP in leadership development and performance improvement.
Steve is an Adjunct Instructor at Boise State University where he teaches leadership in the College of Innovation + Design. Steve also serves on the board of the Professional Coaching Association of Idaho and the Idaho Academy of Leadership for Lawyers . He maintains a network of experienced and highly qualified consultants, trainers, and coaches who he partners with when client engagements require additional resources.
Steve earned his Ph.D. in Education Leadership from the University of Idaho where his research focused on performance evaluation and leadership development. He received his law degree from Santa Clara University’s School of Law, where he earned a Certificate in High Technology Law and studied comparative law at Oxford University. Steve received his undergraduate degree in History from the University of California at Berkeley.
