This training discusses stress, burnout, and their impacts on turnover within an organization. Frequently organizations ask their employees to squelch their emotions, rather than recognizing the benefit (even within the logical languages of business) of allowing them in. We’ll talk about emotions and logic, mental health, and ways to bring teams together to combat isolation and burnout.

    Start your mornings by joining fellow CPAs from around Idaho as well as industry experts to talk about best-practices, solutions and inspirational triumphs. These meetings will start your day off right with discussions on relevant topics and emerging issues impacting businesses in Idaho.

    The concept of these breakfast meetings is to engage all our members in business & industry, public accounting, education and law across the state once a month.

    The series will be offered both in person and virtually so that all ISCPA members can connect. We encourage those in the Treasure Valley to join us in person, however, you are welcome to choose the option that works best for you.

    Those joining us in person should arrive at the ISCPA Education Center in Boise between 7:30 and 7:45 am (8:00 am presentation start).

    John Shipley

    John Shipley

    Jon Shipley is a Human Resource Consultant that has been working with AmeriBen since 2016. He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from Texas A&M, specializing in organizational culture and development. Over the years, he has enjoyed a variety of experiences in business, from sales and account management to customer service and branch management.

    Jon’s expertise lies in creating interactive learning experiences – he has over 9 years teaching at the university level and received departmental awards based on that work. Currently he holds an adjunct position at Boise State University, teaching classes in organizational and interpersonal communication
