Assistant Controller
Hayden Beverage has an immediate opening for an assistant controller.
Requirements:
- CPA or in the process of obtaining
- Two to three years audit experience
- Proven ability to seek out the source of a problem and develop a solution
- Ability and interest to support data processing from hardware to software (the liaison between our software company and the end users)
Areas of Responsibility:
- accounting functions including but not limited to:
- accounts receivable
- accounts payable
- general ledger
- payroll
- route accounting software
- working with the end users to support the data processing needs on the hand held computers and other data equipment
This is a very hands-on position. The assistant controller will need to become competent in all accounting functions, and our route accounting software in order to advance to the controller position.
This position reports to the controller.

Finance Director
The City of Hermiston is looking for a finance director with a thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of municipal finance, accounting and budgeting, and state, federal, and local laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration and human resources management.
The finance director will be able to direct and administer finance department activities, including supervision of employees, communicate effectively orally and in writing, apply accounting and finance principles, and demonstrate skill in money management and investments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or business administration; AND
- Four years of progressively responsible experience in public or municipal finance and accounting including supervisory responsibility; OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

CPA/Accountant/Tax Preparer
Martelle, Bratton & Associates, a busy tax problem resolution law firm currently seeking a skilled accountant to assist in the preparation of tax returns and for general accounting workfor our clients.
- The position requires significant tax preparation experience.
- Specifically, a successful applicant will have experience in the preparation of small business tax returns, including: 1120S, 1065, and 940/941 returns.
- Familiarity with Drake Software is a plus.
This position is presently part-time however it could become a full-time position.
