ISCPA Health Care Conference
Key Tax Issues in Implementing the Affordable Care Act (Idaho emphasis day 2)
September 29 & 30
8am - 4pm (day 1)
8am - Noon (day 2)
Oxford Suites, Boise
12 CPE Credits
Join us for our 2nd annual health care reform conference. Day one focuses on national issues designed to help you better understand the impact of the Act so you can describe to your employer, employee and clients how health care, & paying for coverage, has changed and may change in the future. In addition, you'll discover how to use this information for tax planning opportunities. The next day, we will shift focus to Idaho specific issues. Join local experts as they share their insights and best practices on this ever changing issue to ensure you're up-to-date and in-the-know!
Day 1: Federal Perspective:
Since January, millions of Americans have been accruing the Individual Mandate Penalty. All 2014 tax return filers will need to prove adequate health insurance in place, or report and pay the penalty. Those who signed up for coverage on the exchange will need to reconcile premium subsidies with actual 2014 income, and repay any excess subsidy. While some of the employer obligations have been delayed to 2016, the Employer mandate and its penalty for "large employers" begins in January 2015. Even mid-sized and borderline small employers need to begin compiling their employee census information now. This timely course will explain the critical rules and regulations you need to understand now.
This topic is constantly changing so make sure you're up-to-date on the latest information, your employees, employer and clients are counting on you!
