Designed For

The ISCPA’s “Leadership, Involvement & Personal Growth Conference” is designed to assist new entrants in the profession, particularly those with less than 5 years of experience, toward long-term leadership success.

For Young Leaders

We believe the developing professional who attends will shore up their own foundation in becoming one of tomorrow’s leaders, become a valuable asset to their firm, and add immeasurably to their own personal satisfaction in this exciting profession.

For Firms

This conference is designed to assist firms and companies in developing their professional staff, particularly those with less than 5 years of experience, toward long-term leadership success. We believe the company that sends their staff members to this conference will firm up a foundation for the development and retention of tomorrow’s leaders and provide for the firm’s long-term stability.

Description

What did ‘Jack’ do to motivate his staff to say they’d ‘follow him into hell if he asked me to’? ... How did ‘Charlie’ secure over half a million dollars in revenue for his firm over a couple of lunches? ... What are the 10 leadership things that require zero talent? ... What other real-life examples will you experience during this Conference that can elevate your leadership skills?...

Why young emerging leadership should attend:

You are the visionary & leader that will address the future challenges of the accounting industry. Your aptitudes, capabilities, talents & skills are exactly what are needed to navigate the ever changing landscape you work in. We want to build upon those attributes with this conference.

Why should firms send their young and emerging leaders:

You need highly skilled leaders to step forward and drive your firm into the future! Your firm needs to develop and retain its good people! The demand for accountants is expected to rise between 16 and 20 percent by 2020. That, combined with previous shortfalls in the number of new CPAs being created, is causing intense competition among firms for qualified professionals. A recent presenter said, “You can’t find a good manager with seven to 10 years of experience -- they left the profession. I know this may come as a shock, but this is an aging profession. If you haven’t set up a succession plan by the time you’re 50, don’t worry about it, because it’s not going to happen -- you’re going to be bought or merge.”
