PFP Committee

Personal Financial Planning

 

OBJECTIVES: To identify the member needs that should be met to enable members to effectively provide personal financial planning services to clients in a professional manner and to provide or coordinate training in those areas. To promote the issue of financial literacy throughout our community.

ACTIVITIES:  

  • Provide a liaison between the ISCPA and the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Division

  • Monitor the progress within the profession regarding certification and/or accreditation standards for the personal financial planning specialty

  • Coordinate with the CPE Committee to assure that adequate opportunities are available for continuing professional education in the field

  • Assist in promoting the concept of CPA-provided personal financial planning services through articles and other information releases

  • TIME COMMITMENT: Meets 2 - 3 times per year, and by phone or email as needed.
