Membership Categories & Applications
Fellow Member / $220
At the start of the fiscal year, January 1, any person who is a certified public accountant ("CPA") in good standing under the laws of
Idaho, or who is a holder of satisfactory credentials designating the person a "certified public accountant" in good standing in any
state other than Idaho where such credentials were issued according to the laws of such state.
This includes CPAs in both public and non-public accounting.
Application
Associate Member / $110
Any non-CPA, currently employed by a member firm/company may apply for membership as an Associate Member.
This membership is open to:
- Individuals employed in CPA firms (that have a minimum of one Fellow Member) but who are not CPAs themselves;
- Individuals employed in business, industry and/or education companies/institutions (that have a minimum of one Fellow Member) but who are not
CPAs themselves; and
- Persons eligible to sit for the CPA exam but have not yet taken such exam.
Any individual eligible for another category of membership shall not be eligible for Associate membership.
Associate members shall not be entitled to vote in the Society nor shall they be eligible to hold office as directors of the Society.
Associate members shall receive the Fellow Membership rate on all CPE taken through the Society (currently a savings of at least 50%).
Associate members may be appointed to serve on committees and task forces, or be asked to provide other service to the Society.
Application
Retired / $35
CPAs who have been Fellow Members of the Idaho Society and, at the start of the fiscal year, Jan. 1, have voluntary terminated all gainful employment activities through
retirement or upon becoming permanently disabled. Retired status shall be entitled to all rights of membership.
Student Member / $25
Any person who is currently enrolled in a post-secondary business program at a college or university and is actively working to complete
the educational requirements for the CPA. Student members shall not be entitled to vote in the Society nor shall they be eligible to hold office
as directors or officers of the Society. Student members may be appointed to serve on committees and task forces.

Application
Inactive / $220
CPAs who have been Fellow Members of the Idaho Society but who have
allowed their CPA license to go inactive with the State Board of Accountancy.
Individuals who are granted Inactive status shall be entitled to all rights of membership except they cannot hold any
elected or appointed office.
